Guitar Amp Project

The amp for my Grandson is finally done and delivered. It is sort of a modified Plexi front end with a Marshall 18 Watt output redesigned for octal tubes (6V6). It should be a small thing to switch to 6L6 for a little more power but considering that the speakers will be generating 103dB with the first watt it probably won't be necessary.

Wes seems to be happy with the results. It is very loud and can be adjusted to give nice chcesty distortion. The preamp out works fine but we had to put a shorting plug in the power amp input to kill some bleed through. Maybe some day I will figure out where it is coming from and design a proper fix but this works for now.

Wes' dad will be sending me some digital pictures that we took and I will post them when they arrive.
